My radio was disconnected during repairs and now it says l need to enter a code to use it again but l have no idea what that is because l just bought the car used from a previous owner about 3 months ago. Does anyone know how to find it out? Thanks!

look in the owners manual or in any of the papers that were in the glove box, a lot of times the code is written or printed on a card in there. the other place to look in on the sides of the glove box when its open...honda used to print the code on there back in the day but im not sure if they still do. If all else fails u will need to go to the dealer & they can unlock it for you. LOOK IN THE OWNERS MANUAL TOO, in 11 years im sure this is not the first time the radio has been locked, u would be surprised how many time u can find a hand wirtten code on one of the radio pages

1. Look in or on the side of glove box for small sticker with numbers, should be 5 digits with numbers no greater then 6.
2. Pull out the ashtray & see if the sticker is on the back of there.(older models that have them)
3. Pull radio from dash & write down radio serial number & call local dealer with that number & they will be able to get the code for you. They will ask verifying questions.
4. If u happen to have all the books from the dealer look in the 'HONDA SERVICE HISTORY' book, NOT the owners manual. It should be on the first page in the AUDIO CODE box.

If u turn off radio & hold the 1 & 6 preset buttons then turn radio on it will give u the serial number.

Call Honda USA at 1-800-999-1009 and give them your VIN and serial number for the radio and your registration &/or title (may need to fax it) and they will give you the radio code for free.
