is this a good buy or should i pass? 2001 Honda Civic, 150,000 miles for $5400?

the miles r a little steep for a 2001 but hondas normally last well over 200k miles as long as the car has been well maintained.

my neighbor bought his honda new in 1990 & he still drives it today! l also bought a civic , a 2005, (its looks the same as the 2001) & its been a good car so far.

i would say go for it!

*edit: u might be able to find a car with lower mileage for that price but it will be something like a suzuki (>>>ugly & not reliable!) other hondas that r around that price r normally older & have about the same mileage. why not just go with the newer one???

At 150K miles you are going to get into replacing a lot of minor parts and it will add up. If you could put $9000 you could easily get a Honda civic with 50K miles or less if you look.

It all depends on the condition, trim line, options, & even where u live. Kelly Blue Book value ranges from $4000 for a bare bones model to $8000 for fully loaded, every option box checked model. 150,000 miles is not too much of a worry for a Honda Civic; l know someone who has 500,000 miles on theirs with no major problems. Of course, u may have to replace a headlamp bulb or some switchgear, but mechanically l believe the Honda will hold up well. However, my opinion is that u could probably find a better deal.

l have a 2001 civic Lx with 112000 miles on it and it still runs like new. ive had it since 55000 miles and have only had to get new brake pads. the price is not bad for the quality of honda
