The radio says Err.

you gotta go to a honda dealership, if theyre nice they will give you a code to unlock it for free if not it should be under 30 dollars to unlock it for u

get the manual and see if there is a reset button. l had the exact same problem with my civic, or any car for that matter.

it might need to be reset and for good measure you might want to check the fuse console (under the steering column). l had my battery replaced and a fuse blew in the process and for the life of me l could not figure out what it was! l was ready to sue the garage b/c l thought they busted my 300 car radio!

You will need to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes then reconnect. It should read ''CODE'' then enter the code, if available.

If u do not have the code try the following.

1. Look in glove box for small sticker with numbers, should be 5 digits with numbers no greater then 6.
2. Pull out the ashtray & see if the sticker is on the back of there.(older models that have them)
3. Pull radio from dash & write down radio serial number & call local dealer with that number & they will be able to get the code for you. They will ask verifying questions.
4. If u happen to have all the books from the dealer look in the 'HONDA SERVICE HISTORY' book, NOT the owners manual. It should be on the first page in the AUDIO CODE box.

If u turn off radio & hold the 1 & 6 preset buttons then turn radio on it will give u the serial number.
