It leaks oil and the guy told me it needs a new cam seal which is apparently a common problem with Honda's.It also needs a CV joint replacement. This car is worth about $3500 so l still feel I am getting a good deal.
l am going to replace the cam seal myself. Are there some other things l should consider replacing seeing as l will have the engine open? What are some other trouble areas l should focus my energy on? Correction, it is a 93' Si, not a 92'.I am replacing the timing belt, compressor belt, P/S belt, water pump, oil seals, cam seals, valve cover gasket, timing cover, and front axle(both joints). After l do that, I am putting on headers, HF cat, exhaust, Cold air intake, Iridium plugs and 8mm wires and changing the oil. After looking at it closer, this car just needed a little maintenance.

l had a '92 S l and a '95 VTEC, both with over 200,000 miles, and the only thing l can remember fixing is the rear main seal in both, and the S l had pretty noisy lifters. $1350 seems like a great price for a '92, if it is in decent shape. A LOT of the '92-'96 is have been modified, and/or abused and/or wrecked, so a CarFax and an inspection by a qualified mechanic would be money well spent.
