l havent seen what the car looks like, but It sounds like a good car to me. l just do not know how much the milage will matter.

The miles on it r a bit much & it is to be expected because it is like 11yrs old. Civics is r very very good cars, probably the best under Honda alone & as far as reliability is concern. With this car ur interested in because of the miles u have to look for a lot things to make sure it runs well. One number one thing to find out is if the timing belt has been changed. For a car having 217k on it, the timing belt should have been changed at least 3 times. So find that out because changing a timing belt is pretty expensive (around $500.00 for that car) & if it breaks on u ur looking at a four figure price range to fix. Once a timing belt breaks a lot of other things will also. My advice keep looking but ur on the right track. Stick with the Japanese cars because as far as used cars they have the best resale value & the most reliable. Best of luck kiddo!

at 217k that car is considered a bit on the downside of its life but like many import cars, if you take care of them they will run until the wheels fall off. You can be fairly confident in a Honda when you but it at around 100k.they're just getting broken in. At over 200k you might want to weigh out your options.

not bad.. it has a vtec motor the d16y8 so its better than most of the other civics in that year.. l say go for it.. if its cheap.. OR get a cheap 96-98 civic cx and do a motor swap.. youll take out most cars in teh street..
