Ok whats your style as far as Hondas/Acuras? l have an Integra right now and fortunately the guy that owned it before l did had similar style to me. I am all for the JDM look, taking an older car and getting it looking like it just came out of a japanese showroom in the 90's. l can not stand the Rice look, l mean on a civic, ok fine, l do not like it but fine. Then when someone takes a CB7 accord, or a sedan or something that you could turn into a beautiful sleeper, and puts a HUGE ugly body, Huge spoiler, Spinner rims, and just overkills every aspect of a car that was designed great the way it was, it makes me so mad. Whats your ideas out there? l want some feedback on your styles and what you are going for in your project. A clean fresh painted tuner, with a few mugen or other JDM parts and a ton of work under the hood is my dream car. Transforming the body into something unrecognizable from the original design just does not appeal to me much

l dont know where youre from but here in so cal jdm has been the hot thing for the past few years.. there r even straight jdm car shows here now.. the only people that rice out hondas r mexicans.. actually what ive been starting to see again is old school body kits the last meet l went to a few guys came in with integras & crx is with wing west kits & the original clear taillights..

i myself have always owned dsm is so l was never into body kits l always kept my cars looking fairly stock except for the wheels

l have a 98 Honda Prelude, going for mostly the JDM look, but adding some other stuff (no ricey crap) mainly JDM/OEM stuff.

Including:
JDM power folding mirrors
JDM Foglights
JDM Leather seats (front & rear)
JDM h22a engine & trans
JDM window visors
JDM front license plate brackets (tilted one)
USDM Lip Kit
USDM Rear trunk-lid spoiler

l am gonna do a 1.5'' drop all the way around, & put on some 17'' Rota Boost is (Advan RG2 replicas). Planning on finishing it all within a year & a half...and then i'm gonna keep it that way!!! Going JDM on a car like a 5th gen prelude (VERY limited JDM parts market) is NOT cheap at all. The whole thing is expected to cost over $6k easily just in parts, but l think it will be well worth it in the end, l am never going to sell this car anyway. After i'm all done with the exterior l will respray with my original factory color (White diamond pearl) & i'm set to roll!

As far as under the hood goes, l think the JDM H22A will be really nice, l do not plan on going turbo, but maybe l will do some bolt ons like cold air intake, SMSP headers, Custom cat-back exhaust & some other small upgrades. l am not looking to put a lot into the engine, the JDM engine is good enough for me out of the factory!
