l purchased an 08 Accord V6 sedan a few months ago and have been getting about 23.5-24 mpg.l was expecting it to be closer to 28-30 mpg.l have a 42 mile commute each way to work and 35 of it is on 2 lane highway (at 70 mph).Anyone else seen similar results...Have not seen a big difference using pure gasoline and that with ''up to 10% Etoh''.l wonder if l drove 55 if it would show 30 mpg.

23-24mpg is about it if u bought the V6 version of it. If u got the 4cyl maybe u will get 30mpg out of it, but the V6 was rated right under 30mpg highway (probably at 55-60mph). 22mpg is the average MPG a driver can expect from the V6 Accord. It is been tested many places & 22-23 is all the tests come up with. There is a number of other things that can affect ur gas mileage though, from the type of oil u use, maintenance, to tire pressure & weight inside the car. But do not be expecting to get 28-30 unless u try, like u said, driving 55mph all the way to work. Although that might be kinda hard on a 2 lane highway since people would be pulling up behind u all the time trying to get around you

Also pure gasoline will give u better gas mileage than 10% ethanol gas. Usually it is not that noticeable, but its a few miles shaved off the tank in the end when using a mixture of ethanol.
