l see Hondas with over 135k miles and are at least 13 years old and are worth over $2,000! Why is that? do they last at least 200k miles or something?

Hondas are reliable & get good gas mileage;-} & in demand.
The timing belt should be replaced every 200k miles.

Hondas do have a reputation for going 300k+ with no major repairs(maybe a trans, and a little bit of oil burning)

as long as they are properly maintained and not abused, they will last quite a while

Honda is will easily run for over 250,000 miles with regular maintenance, they get great gas mileage and they are nice driving cars. This is why they hold their value so well.

mine has 340,000 miles on the original motor..and still running strong with no oil burns or problems at all..and people still hit me up to sell it.92 vx hatchback..still getting roughly 40 mpg street and 50 mpg highway.

l agree it is a little pricey! But for Honda owners this is good news. It only points out that Honda is a good buy. l had a Honda Civic EG Hatchback 1993 B16A model with 102,000 Miles which l sold last year around October for $3,850.00. l now drive a 1997 Honda Civic Sedan B16E EK Series with only 26,000 Miles. l inherited it from my brother. It runs great!!! Maybe Honda built this car for people like me to drive & have fun. Maybe that is why it is a little pricey. Hope l helped a little to clear things up. Cheers.
