When l start the car the brake light indicator light comes on and stays on until l do the following:

1)Set the cruise control
2)Shut the car off
3)Start the car again

Then when l stop the car again and start it up again later on, the brake light indicator light comes on and stays on.Puzzled.

l am assuming you've already checked the brake master cylinder fluid level as a low fluid level will cause the light to be on all the time. if the fluid level is okay & the parking brake is released then the problem may be with a brake lamp.

check ur brake lights. that light usually indicates that a brake light bulb is burnt out. be sure to check the brake light above the rear shelf as well.

i think u will find u have a burnt out brake light bulb.
