Hello. l have a 2006 Honda Accord EX Sedan. l take it every 3000 miles or so (or when there is service alert on dashboard) for an oil change to the place where l purchased it from. (Norm Reeves Honda). Last time l went for an oil change, the inspection report states that there is a power steering fluid leak and needs further inspection. l called and inquired about it and the serviceman says it might be the hose but not 100% sure. l did some googling and found something called LUCAS POWER STEERING STOP LEAK. Can l use this? Your comments/advices/information are all appreciated. Thank you.

go ahead but PS is under high pressure.at least you will feel u tried before you lay out the big money to fix it proper

Yes I've used this on my 00 dodge intrepid (worst car ever) and on my forklift at work. This stuff works well. Just keep adding till the leak stops.
P.S. Do not go to the dealer as they are always trying to rip off somebody.
l now have an 05 Accord with 100,000 miles and nothing leaks

do not use it! many of those products include brake fluid to cause the seals in the system to swell. the additives r not approved by Honda as they can cause damage to the pump or steering gear & valves. its better to have the leak diagnosed & repaired.

as the people at norm reeves to add the dye that they use to diagnose air conditioning systems to ur power steering fluid. they can add that to the oil then use an ultraviolet light to see exactly where the leak is coming from & repair it. The dye costs about $7.00 they should not charge u to put it in as all u have to do is open the cap on the power steering pump reservoir to add it. Then drive the car for about a week or so & stop by to have them shine the light on it & see where the leak is coming from.

that item may still be under warranty if the car is under 3 years or 36,000 miles.

take it back to the dealer & ask to have the dye put in & do it right.

i do not know what Norm Reeves u went to but if u went to HB ask for Dave T.--he is the service manager & he will take care of you. At Cerritos the manager is Mike M. or Harold W. If you're going to West Covina, see Mike R. Same deal, just explain to them u r not satisfied with the ''we cant find where its leaking from'' answer & ask them to put the dye in. l am pretty sure they wo not charge u for it if u talk to them first.
