Hello everyone!!!! ok so theres this one guy who has an eclipse gt. hes been talking way too much shit. He hates on my 90 integra. im planning racing this guy for cash. His car is supercharged pushing about 360 hp. hes the kind of guy that just spends money on his ride but he doesnt know what his doing. im building my 90 teggy: vtec gsr head swap, type r pistons, ported cylinders, exedy cluth, flywheel, but im trying to keep it as N/A (natural asspirated) as possible, carbon fiber hood, and im trying to remove all the weight as possible. do you think l have a chance????? or what do l need??? please help!!!!

if he really has 360 hp, which l highly doubt, your not going to beat him n/a. going to have to fab a turbo kit.

Seriously if he has 360 HP u will never get him naturally aspirated. The absolute MOST u will see from a fully built & properly tuned N/A B16/B18C motor is between 240-260 at the wheels. The power curve when going to forced induction is a considerable jump while a N/A cars power curve is more linear. The best shops & tuners in America just recently had a N/A build off of B-Series Honda motors a year or so ago & the best one was like 260 at the wheels. Keep in mind the total cost of this build was over $20,000 due to custom ground cams & the car was not streetable due to huge overlap on the cams it idled like a huge beast of a 70 is muscle car. Your best bet is to get a full GSR motor, lower the compression & have better forged rods & a built head, a turbo kit from somewhere like Full-Race or Peakboost, run a AEM EMS & pull anywhere from 350-550 HP at the wheels. And it would still cost about the same as the N/A build.

wow 360hp out of an eclipse gt with supercharger? that must be the 08 models cuz l know stock is 265hp with 268trq then add a supercharger ye l guess thats around 360.

but if he really has 360 horse then ur done. unless u r willing to spend money too.full gsr swap with all goodies including turbo.. boost it up to around 280-290 u might have a chance cuz ur car is 1000lb lighter

what do u plan on winning with???? ur build is maybe going to net u bout 200 to the ground if ur lucky. although his tank has the weight. but no u wouldnt stand a chance. only choice u have at this point is boost. but sounds like to me that ur a inexperienced driver for one & a do it yourselfer kind of person that lacks the mechanical & technical aspect of boosting a motor.
