Would l come out better performance wise by swapping out my f22 for a h22 or by adding stage 2 camshafts,titanium valve springs, ported and polished heads, and a stage 2 clutch to my f22a1 engine?l do not wanna race l just wanna have the extra horses if l feel the need them.l also would like the most reliable setup.If you are not familiar with the h22 engine please do not answer!

the h22 will give you more power stock then you would get from a f22a with cams, camgears, valves and retainer, and cltuch, etc..the f22a1 only has max hp of 125..plus all the add ons to get about 160 at most.while the h22 has an average of 180 hp to give with no upgrades..and also the h22 swap uses the same axles and motor mounts as the f22 .

Your upgrades wo not do crap for you. A clutch, polished & ported heads, titanium valve springs will not make u feel as u have more power than the H22.

The H22 will be much much better. If u do plan to swap it, that is instead of doing those crap upgrades to ur stock engine & saying that it gives u godly amounts of power.

They sell JDM engines for a good price, if ur looking to do a swap they have execellent qual.ity engines & they r pretty well known on the street. l swappede a b16a into my civic & its been great.

But yeah, if u want power u need to go H22... buy the complete changeover kit which includes everything that u need. Its nice b/c the motor will come with the shift linkage, the axels, the ecu, the motor, & the tranny. l had a friend who put money into his 3.0 liter accord & it got blown away by my 1.6 everytime.

well just comparing the two being that the F22A is designed for a family car & the H22 was designed for a sporty coupe ''prelude also 125hp(f22) or 187hp(h22), plus the F22 was single cam non vtec, the h22 was dohc vtec. the compression ratio is also significantly different as well as the redline. l would say h22 for performance.
