l went to a body shop, they gave me estimate of $170 to replace the hood and hinges (without a cost of hood)l think it is a little to much for such a work.What should it cost to do that?Is it possible to do it yourself?

that sounds about right since typically the hood hinges r welded on, if u were to do it yourself, but lets put it this way, a new hood, is prolly 2-300, the labor is about right since its a good 3 hour job, they need to pull off the fenders & anything in that area, odds r its something that needs to be welded (that takes no how) the paint for the hood, the new hinges, to do the whole deal ur looking at in all reality 900 bucks. Honda likes to bend people over & screw them hard, theyll charge people 700 bucks just to replace a side mirror, the cars r decent but the people suck
