How do i reset the check engine light on a 2008 honda accord

Go to Autozone, they read the code for free (the code tells you why the light is on, then they can reset it. Depending on the problem- if it is not fixed the light will just come on again.

remove the ECM fuse for 5 minutes. it will reset and erase all the codes from your computer

the box of the fuses is in the front of your car next to the engine

You should probably bring it to the dealer as the car is likely still under warranty. If it falls under covered work you should get it taken care of now when its free.

( l am talking about what caused the light to come on, not the resetting part)

Easy.
This procedure is the same for Acura, Lexus, Toyota, Scion, & Subaru.

1. Turn car off.
2. Hold down reset button by the speedometer.
3. Turn Key into ON position(turn electricity on, but not the engine)
4. Do this without letting go of the reset button.
5. Hold on to the reset button until the light goes away or after 10 seconds.
6. Turn Engine on to make sure the light was turned off.

If that does not work, something is wrong.
You could get it reset for free at Autozone as well.

All you have to do is take the negative terminal off the battery and it will reset the ecu. It will reset your radio and stuff too so watch out.
