it? l take back and forth to work and one day l was coming up A hill going 75 and suddenly l Heard A clicking or knocking sound? My friend says it can be that l threw A rod? l was on youtube and every person with A Honda (any type) Who shot A rod something always shot thru the Engine and Oil leak everywhere well not for me? My car still runs good but there that clicking or knocking sound l aint got no hole anywhere no oil leaks but l noticed there smoke was the Dipstick? Is it possible to throw A rod but not have anything shoot thru? l mean people said it can be A number of things A bent Valve, Lifters, Etc? Also can anybody tell me what it can be like A guess and how much it would cost to fix thanks!

If the engine is not running rough then it could be a loose valve lifter. Do you hear it when idling or at higher revs?

Without hearing the noise, it is hard to tell. It could be that you had a rod bearing fail, or you could have had a wrist pin on the piston lock up. It could also be a valve noise.

Take the car to a qualified mechanic and have them listen to the noise. That will give you a better idea of what you will need to do to repair the car.
