Should l have received a master & valet key when l purchased my certified civic?How much will it cost me to get a replacement valey key?

Forget the valet keys. They cause a lot of problems and are more expensive than the regular keys.

You can get replacement keys for your Honda Civic at amazingkeys.com for a lot less than the dealership.

You probably should have a total of 3 working keys for your vehicle.

l have purchased 3 branch new Hondas & each came with 1 valet key & 2 master keys. The valey key is pretty much useless unless u live in an area where a ton of other people will be driving u car (I.E., to park it & what not).

If u want another key for ur car, which u r entitled too, get a regular key & not a valet key. Also, tell the dealer u want another set of keys & have them throw it into the deal once everything else is done. They r hard up right now & will NOT let u walk away over something so simple as a key.

If they say they will not throw it in for free, then simply say u have to talk to ur mom/dad/husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend (whoever would also be in on this decision with you) & start walking away.. they will hunt u down before u ever get into ur car to drive off.

l cant say for certain about Honda.

But l recently purchased a certified used Acura, and it came with 2 standard keys, one valet key, and one remote for the keyless entry.

l would expect similar from Honda as they are the same parent company.
